The
EZ/M Layout facility provides the ability to view and print high quality
flowcharts of all jobs in any scheduling table. These flowcharts can be
printed or faxed using any Windows supported printer or fax device. Large
tables are no problem for the EZ/M Layout facility.

|
EZ/M
makes it easy to print your job order definitions thus providing easy
to read documentation.

|
|
EZ/M
supports all releases of CONTROL-M including release 5.0, 5.0.4, 5.1.4,
and 6.x.x. Since EZ/M supports all releases of CONTROL-M it is a great
tool for anyone who needs to work with more than one release. We use it
all the time when we upgrade our customers from one release to another.

|
|
During
the installation process you tell EZ/M what other IOA products you have
installed. EZ/M automatically modifies its schedule definition screens
to provide you with just the right options.

|
|
The
Field Default screen allows you to define a skeleton that will be used
as the basis for all new job order definitions. This feature significantly
reduces the amount of time it takes to define a job order while at the
same time ensuring more accurate data entry.

|
|
The
powerful EZ/M Global Search and Replace facility allows you to easily
make mass changes to all job definitions in a scheduling table. Almost
any scheduling parameter can be changed or even added. An UNDO capability
is provided in case you change your mind.

|
|
In
this example EZ/M is instructed to change the high level qualifier in
the MEMLIB field from "PROD" to "TEST", but only in
job orders with a MEMNAME prefix of "ADA". The EZ/M Search and
Replace feature marks all job orders with a check mark that are changed
during a Search and Replace operation.

|
|
EZ/M
supports both Job and Group scheduling tables. The icons at the far left
column on the screen indicate the type of task. Different icons are used
to indicate the Group Entity, Jobs, Cyclic Jobs, Started Task, Emergency
Jobs, etc.

|
|
EZ/M
allows you to open and work with multiple scheduling definitions in multiple
scheduling tables concurrently. Windows Drag and Drop technology allows
you to quickly move job orders from one table to another or from one location
in a table to a different location in the same table. The job orders in
any table can be easily sorted by clicking the mouse on the column heading
you wish to use as a sort key. In addition to working with multiple scheduling
tables EZ/M also allows you to work with multiple calendars or a combination
of scheduling tables and calendars.

|
|
Defining
schedules is quick and easy when you use the EZ/M tabbed metaphor. Simply
select a tab and fill in the blanks. Extensive use of radio buttons, pull-down
menus and scroll lists minimizes the need to remember valid values for
the various scheduling parameters. Field editing is performed on all data
entered to ensure that it is correct before it is sent to the mainframe.
A robust HELP facility and a comprehensive User Manual are included.

|
Defining
and modifying calendars has never been easier. Simply click the mouse
on the days you want to mark as run days and EZ/M does the rest. Once
a calendar is created for a specific year, it can be easily copies to
quickly create calendars for other years. The current release of EZ/M
supports calendars well into the 21st century. EZ/M works for you today
and is ready for the new millenium.

|
|
You
can view any calendar a month at a time or you can see the whole year
at one time.

|
|
EZ/M
provides support for Periodic Calendars also! Any number of periods can
be easily defined by simply selecting the desired period by pressing its
key on the keyboard. Once this is done it is a simple matter to click
the mouse on each day that is part of that period.
